DISTRESSED

So in other words, your work should look a little worn or old. You can tear the edges, or tie the paper, above the whole a nice "Patina" verpassen.

Chile - Vacation 2010 Day 1 - outward journey and arrival

On Tuesday, 14/12/2010 was going on there. Bremen-amsterdam-Atlanta-Santjago de Chile. Gross, quite confusing and was mega hectic die Hinreise von statten. So musste ich mir Hilfe besorgen. Denn als ich In Amsterdam aus dem Flugyeug stieg, musste ich von der einen zur anderen Seite des Flughafens. Doch vorher sollte ich noch mein Gepaeck in der Bagadge hall abholen, aber vom welchen bagadge bellt sollte ich es holen? Ich hatte kaum Zeit und kannte mich nicht aus. Und dann, nachdem ich dachte, dass ich die groessten Huerden bewaeltigt haette, sollte ich mich beim "Check in" auch noch halb entkleiden. Jacke, Schuhe und Guertel aus. So stand ich da, und wartete, bis ich entlich die Schranke passieren konnte. Dann musste ich mich ebenso wieder anziehen (Hose auf, T-shirt und Hemd in die Hose stecken, Reissverschluss zu und Guertel umbinden) vor aller anderen Augen. Uff. Ich fuehlte mich ganz observed beautiful. Then, on to Atlanta.

In the States, the help and organization gestalltet more difficult. Thus, initially, no signs, where each path leads were seen. Finally, I came into the hall for (in english) "Emigration" at. A bold hall with about 60 switches and full of people, made me imagine evil. I did not know what to think. I just wanted to not miss my connecting flight.

I looked around desperately and watched an airport cop, who just as cool as we know it from movies ran along, the great hall from A to B. -... ? Since I had to smile genuine.

And revealed to me a chance. I asked a supervisor for help. While we waited, until the switch opens, we talked nice. Sun asked the attendant, among other things, whether I serve in the Army because I wear but for the U.S. soldier dog tags typhischen / Dogtags. I replied no, that is my costume jewelry. I do not think they took me seriously. And since I wore clothes in army colors, or with my dog tags and my entire presentation for the Yanks looked like a soldier / Soldier, I have been to the Fourth, who was his turn. For the Superwaiser said the supervisor: "Take the Soldier". So I was around the actual barrier, led to the already open switch - Despite my reference!

Well done, as I knew exactly was zu tun waere, reichte ich zuegig meinen Reisepass und hielt meine Finger fuer die Abnahme der Fingerabdruecke bereit. Fuer das Foto per webcam, nahm ich meine Cappy ohne Aufforderung ab. Mann hatte ich ne menge Zeit gespart. Doch musste ich meinen in Amsterdam, nicht gefunden Reisekoffer nun in Atlanta vom Band nehmen und neu einchecken. Doch welches Bagadge bellt sollte ich nun aufsuchen? Wieder diese Angst den Flug zu verpassen. Ich musste dringend auf die Toilette. Also sollte ich erst nach meinem Koffer sehen bzw. ihn finden oder  mich befeien? Ich kuemmerte mich, um men Gepaeck, obwohl ich es kaum mehr aushielt. Nach alldem musste ich ja erstmal den Weg zum Checkin, Gate und boarding finden. Hilfe! Schliesslich gelang mir auch das. So hatte ich noch 10 min time diutyfree (duty free) shopping. I must admit though, I had some help, but the biggest advantage brought me my English one. For I knew a lot and was able to articulate as well. If I had not thought of, because I have forgotten many words. After Santjago de Chile.

When I arrived entlich in Chile, I was "all ready" (you can get not to try at ):-). At the airport in any event, to expect unforeseen horror / small culture Hock. When I Namely the Imigratin that Gepaeckabhulung and customs control was behind me and stood by the exit, not Familienangehñrige, but taxi drivers were seen. everyone spoke to me in English, which ich denn wohl braeuchte und wo ich wohl hin muesse. Ich hatte ganz schnell die Nase sowas von voll. Es gab keine Information, um z.B. eine Ansage durchgeben lassen zu koennen und kaum einer konnte mich auf English verstehen. Also musste ich probieren spanisch zu sprechen. Nach vier Stunden, traf ich meinen Onkel. Dabei ist der Flughafen (SCL) ueberhauptnicht gross. Bevor es jedoch entguelltig nach Hause gehen konnte, hatte mein Onkel noch einige Formalitaeten zu erledigen. Was ich dann bis Valparaiso (final destination/ Endziel) zu sehen bekam, will ich Euch mit Bildern erzaehlen.
